For licensed divers who want to improve their buoyancy, self confidence and dive skills. Especially relevant for divers who want to improve their diving but lack the confidence to do the PADI Advanced course.
Includes visualisation and stress management technique to improve underwater relaxation and enjoyment. Slow, gentle skills practice to help boost your confidence without stress. Private tuition available with extra supplement.
Each day begins with an 8 am yoga class which teaches you to breathe properly and prepares you for the sport element of diving. After breakfast you make your way to the dive center, meet your instructor and get kitted up. The first days diving is focused on breathing, relaxation before and during your dive and bouyancy. Your instructor will review diving theory and equipment in a practical step by step way, so you‘ve reviewed your knowledge as you practice it. All diving is at your own pace and dives do not increase in depth or difficulty until (and if) you say.
There is a yoga class every morning at 8.00am with one free day per week. During the week guests are invited to join an optional Desert Dinner: Meditate in a silence incomparable to any other. Watch for shooting stars in a sky with a million and have dinner cooked by local Bedouin in traditional style. People are so struck they never want to leave. We often have the opportunity to go on a mini safari to the Three Pools diving & snorkelling site, where we will practice our morning yoga session by the sea shore. Afterwards you will be delighted by a Bedouin breakfast & you can then dive. The Three Pools is named due to the natural formation of coral pools, each connecting to the other.
The group also generally go out for dinner together a couple of evenings in the week to one of Dahab's many restaurants.
On your day off you can visit the famous Mount Moses and/or visit St Katherine’s Monastery. You can also go to snorkel at Ras Abu Galum, a small Bedouin village one hour north of Dahab up the coastline. Bedouin live there as they have done for centuries and it is still without electricity. There is wonderful snorkelling there and you can stay the night there hosted by Bedouin.
There is still plenty of time for additional activities which include diving, snorkelling, camel or horse riding, desert dinner/meditation, trekking, mountaineering and wind/kite surfing
Course week includes 7 nights b & B at the Bedouin Moon Hotel, 6 yoga classes, 4 days diving (2 dives per day) with full equipment and tuition, transportation and return airport transfers.
